Father Mike spent nearly two decades of service, leadership and preaching at other denominations and churches before joining Christ the Good Shepherd in 2015. Fr Mike was ordained into the Old Roman Catholic Priesthood on December 8, 2017 with the support and love of his parish home – Christ the Good Shepherd.
Fr. Mike’s calling into ordained ministry can be traced back to his formative years, but his life journey first took him to college where he earned his BSBA, then lived in South Korea teaching English in 1993 and eventually working as an executive for an international facility services corporation. Fr. Mike is currently working to complete his Master of Divinity from St. Joseph’s College of Maine.
Having traveled to four continents and experiencing the joy of God’s creation in nature and in humanity the world over, Fr. Mike sees the beauty and Godly spirit in all people and lives to share of himself and his love of the Lord with all.
Fr. Mike came to Christ the Good Shepherd to live not only his personal pastoral call, but to share in a faith journey with people from so many unique and varied walks of life. Fr. Mike views the diversity of God’s creation as something to celebrate and cherish and embraced Christ the Good Shepherd’s mission to bring together those looking for an authentic, progressive, and affirming faith experience for all people whether raised catholic or coming from other denominations or faith journeys.
