For what are you thankful? As we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, it is a good time for us to give reflect upon how we show our gratitude, not only to one another, but also to God for all the gifts and blessings we receive in life. Even in the challenges we may face, we have much for which we can give thanks.
In our scripture readings this weekend, we hear an important message of not only making use of the gifts and talents each of us have been given, but also of not letting fear prevent us from sharing of our time and talents. Mother Teresa often spoke of the importance of doing something beautiful for God. She reminded people that multiple times a day we are provided the opportunity to share God’s love with one another in both small and significant ways.
I am profoundly grateful for each and every person that makes up our parish family at Christ the Good Shepherd. There is nowhere else I would rather be than serving as pastor of this wonderful parish. You have enriched my life in countless ways, and I pray that we will continue to grow in faith as we journey together in the coming years.
May God bless you and your loved ones today, tomorrow, and forevermore.
